研究方向:
结合计算和实验生物学方法来探索病毒的进化和发生机制,并将研究结果应用于流行病的防治:1)利用分子进化和序列分析方法研究流行病的起源、传播途径、进化和种群特征;2)结合反式遗传学方法研究流行病爆发的机制,包括病毒的宿主适应性突变、种群瓶颈效应、上位显性等等因素;3)利用上述结果进一步研究病毒和宿主的相互作用分子机制,此方向目前集中于研究基肯孔尼雅病毒(chikungunya virus)3’UTR 的功能。
